They are based in the USA, but have a development team locally, based in St Leonards. They offer excellent WFH options (4 or even 5 days a week), but they still need the team to be Sydney based, so they can draw the team together occasionally.
About the role
The product this team works on is closely tied to data streams & big data services.
As such excellent data engineering jobs (Ideally working with Kafka & Snowflake, but we'd equally be interested in someone who knows the Apache world or Azure people). You definitely need to know now to optimise complex SQL queries.
Ideally though you'll also bring some solid Java development skills. Data Engineering will absolutly be your core strength, but you have to also bring commercial Java coding experience
It's also a big complex environment. Hence it would be ideal if you came out of one of the big banks or another enterprise environment.
You also need to be a solid communicator and a team player.
